update: 5 years later and it still sucks. Works properly 10% of the time. Disconnects constantly. Especially irritating when fastforwarding or rewinding and you cant stop it until you reconnect again...every time. It is not my internet provider, and all of my other apps and devices have no issues. Not a great app. Currently it is no longer recognizingg my fire stick, and I have re-signed in and rebooted both several times.

Wish I had found the app sooner. **There is a problem with the app scrolling through selections instead of the single swipe intended, but it is not a deal breaker. Connection problems maybe related to wifi network and not the app itself. ** The scrolling issue disappeared when I upgraded my phone. So if you are having problems with an app, the problem could be your phone. Just saying.
Despite restarting the wireless router, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, putting phone in airplane mode and taking it back out, this app refuses to connect. This isn't always, but it's a persistent issue with this app. Great when it works, but infuriating when it fails, which it does far too frequently. Going to go look for a replacement for the physical remote to free myself from this torment.
