Triglav Codes Review

This is actually a good isometric game. It's unique both visually and mechanically, and I like that the inventory system, quest/puzzle system, and extra life system all encourage min-maxing and an aggressive playstyle. It's the opposite of most isometric games these days but it has a fast-paced classic vibe. And don't worry developers; unlike that one guy, most people can see that the limited inventory slots are supposed to encourage tactical thinking, and is not a flaw.

The game is exploring what seems like an never ending tower. After a certain number of levels, there is a boss fight that's more strategic than the bosses specific to each floor. Top down pixel-like graphics. There's a town of merchants to find and little secrets here and there. It felt repetitive to me after awhile, but was fun for a few weeks at least!

I'm inclined to rate 4 stars because that's usually my max, but I can't help but give 5. Its not a perfect game, but damn close if you like this style. I don't know how anyone complains about the controls, they are great. Progression is decently paced. The theme and artwork is incredibly done, and this is where the game really wins stars from me - great job. I wish I could carry more items but that would make it easier than it was meant to be, I suppose. Anyway, 5/5, you earned it.
