The Walking Dead: All-Stars Codes review

Zzzz. Accurately sums it up. I've played a variety of these 'strategy' games and I really wanted to like this one. The content is just lacking, as are the avenues by which one can incrementally improve their squad. Play it for two days and you've seen the game in full, now just rinse-wash-repeat (or pay) to get past challenging levels so you can do it all over again. Must have paid so much for the TWD rights that they had to cut corners during planning and development.

Overall an OK game. I like the IP and the characters. Not a ton of fresh content, but I like that I can play for half an hour or so a day and still progress. Recent changes added a ton of ad watch options, which would be fine except they added so many that it constantly crashes the ad servoce or doesn't load, or starts an ad then backs out and gives you nothing.

The game draws you in for the first few chapters, then you start hitting the team power road blocks. Once you hit mid game, content and resources are scarce, unless you pay. Progression is very slow. Really slow. You need a ton of copies of characters to push through the roadblocks, and thats if you pick the meta characters. It gets to the point where your team melts within seconds or you barely win (using meta characters). No crafting or side things to do. They need to address this! ASAP
