Raise – Discounted Gift Cards Premium/Pro Account Free
I'm a long time raise customer. You need to do a better job at vetting your app updates. The recent update has caused a never-ending crash loop. Every attempt to open the app results in a crash. Now I can't access any of the gift cards that I've already purchased. This is unacceptable. I have uninstalled and reinstalled as well as cleared cache and data and nothing works. The app is now nothing more than a crash factory. #disappointed
Hadn't used the app in a while, updated it and purchased a gift card. After a few seconds the card showed up on my account. Perfect. However when I go to see the card information and click on reveal, it is revealed for a split second, before redirecting me automatically to the gift card company's website, in this case, Ulta. I had to record in slow motion with another phone just so I could capture the information I needed to check out. Super inconvenient and just a huge design flaw.
Update: The short purchase window has been fixed, so I'm giving it 5 stars now. Great for saving money, especially on places you go regularly. You won't necessarily save a whole lot on one card, but with regular use, it adds up. The problem is trying to buy cards - when you add one to your cart, you have 12 seconds to add another or complete the transaction - including payment processing time.
Last week I read about Raise on a search to use PayPal on Amazon. I bought some Amazon gift cards and within 5 minutes I was able to use them, no problem. Then I updated Raise. Totally unusable, I can't sign in and am repeatedly booted or sent back to the start page. Even after reinstalling app and restarting phone I get an error message every time I click on app. Since it's holiday season I don't have time to mess with this. Wish I never chose to Update. Uninstalling for good.
This app has saved me hundreds! The new exact pay feature just makes it easier to do something I already do. I just wait for the cashier to say my total, and 20 seconds later I have a gift card for that exact amount. Only suggestion, add another confirmation before the purchase occurs, and while processing for 20 seconds, allow me to cancel if I typed an error. Overall, this app, combined with my 2% cash back on my credit card, makes it easy to save way more money with zero effort.
