Mortal Kombat: Onslaught Codes review
I honestly love Mortal Kombat: Onslaught. I'm not usually into strategic games, but this one has really caught my attention. It stays true to the classic Mortal Kombat style and stories, which I appreciate. Progressing in the game is quite easy, thanks to the daily rewards and other goodies. Acquiring fighters is a breeze, making it a more laid-back version of the game, which is pretty cool in its own right.
The game has all the elements needed to be a successful gacha game, with the added allure of the Mortal Kombat theme and engaging cutscenes. However, my progress hit a snag after just an hour of play, as I found myself too weak to advance further. Upon returning the next day for time-away rewards, I was disappointed by their minimal impact on my progression. Playing as a free-to-play player, the poor rewards made it difficult to enjoy the game, leading me to uninstall it. Perhaps I'll reconsider returning in the future.
While Mortal Kombat: Onslaught boasts a compelling storyline, it is marred by several issues that detract from the overall experience. The clunky and slow user interface, along with minuscule and unresponsive arrows, make gameplay frustrating. Additionally, the charging system for equipment management is a major turn-off, and the game's high battery consumption is simply unsustainable. A 20-minute session on my Pixel 7 drains a quarter of the battery, which is unacceptable. Until these issues are addressed, I won't be reinstalling the game.
