Monster Killer Pro – Shooter Tier List
I like the art style and Victorian horror theme, but the game is sadly not playable. Game turns into a slideshow too often, and refusing to watch the ads....still plays the ad. I do like how it inverts Archero's stutterstep, and you get a faster firing rate for staying still instead, promoting good positioning and reactive play instead of constant fidgeting. Overall, there's too many quality Archero clones on the market to put up with the poor optimization and excessive ads of this one.
Enjoyed the game at first but it really has some balance and monetization issues, charging for a game and having paid loot boxes and ads and an ad based roulette wheel is very predatory and a disservice to a game I could see spending more money on if it didn't come off so greedy 😬. As for the balance issues the ricochet style upgrade only works if the monsters are close to touching and one boss has projectiles that follow you on a map too small for you to have room to dodge meaning more ads
I launched the app when I didn't have internet access (thought I did, but router was having an issue). The app decided I must be new and overwrite all progress and rewarded the pro rewards fresh. When I got back on with internet access, progress was mostly fixed though I lost some progress. Not ideal, but what was pretty bad is all my gold was still reset to the measly 100 for Pro. I had just under 1.9k. There are other bugs that have been in the game for a very long time.
