Most of the app is great. However, the Hunt Zone has never been good for me. It shows the opposite of real-world conditions. I would like the compass to be visible at all times. The newest update has changed the marking function. Save with My Location is gone and have to tap screen to put a marker. 11-20-23: update; I installed the update recommended by HS! After installation I opened the app to see if things worked for me. YES, I find that what was fixed works now. Noticed a few other changes!
Yet again, I've got an issue where I update the app and now I can't edit or delete map objects. I paid for the whitetail subscription and even got surprised by the renewal, but figured I use it enough. But I keep having issues with object editing and management after updates. I'm honestly considering swapping to Onx next year. The most basic of basic functions in a map editor should be editting objects on the map. I could add 15 scrapes on top of one another, but couldn't delete one old rub.
I've used the paid version of HuntStand for several years and have been mostly happy with it. My biggest complaint is they want to add another paid program for whitetail deer and put it in the app so you have to scroll around it. There is no option to just have what you paid for and not have there "Advertising constantly in the way". At this point I'm considering switching to the other major hunting app.
