Golf Battle Tier List
The gameplay is fun... for a while. That is until you realize the game has multiple designs to make it a grind to push you to spend money. Very slow progression is the first. Second is the matchmaking. When you first start a new level, every opponent is terrible. But after a few rounds, suddenly all of your opponents are experts, again forcing payment to progress to keep up. Total scam, and not necessary given the ample ad revenue the game likely has. Too bad devs often choose this route.
PAY TO WIN APP. The only thing that is consistent about the game is it's inconsistency. You can make the exact same shot 2 different times and the "physics" will behave differently. So frustrating how sometimes a ball will roll into the cup from two ball lengths away, and other times it sits on the edge of the cup and won't go in. Funny how it works great if you've made an in app purchase, but works against you if not.
Bite-sized matches, good controls, and huge course and cosmetic variety make for a nice playing experience. However, it contains some of the most egregious monetization I have ever seen in a mobile game. Beware the microtransactions, I personally find that there is nothing they can offer that will improve my gameplay experience enough to be worth real money, your mileage may vary.
I'm getting bored. It's always searching for opponents. I just want to play. If you let it time out while searching for opponents it will enroll you in the game later and still deduct the entrance fee. This is fine if you're still in the app and ready to play but it will often happen when you already exited the app in frustration, or if you're in another game. When this happens you lose your entrance fee coins. At least the disconnects seem to be fixed.
Fun gameplay, but they rob you of your coins. It took me a while to save up enough coins to play a certain level enough times to receive a reward, then they booted me out of the game saying my internet was down when I never lost internet connection, and even if I had, I have plenty of cellular data which should have been used as backup. All of those coins down the drain, and no way to contact anyone for help. Garbage. It's just a money grab.
