Amongst the most horrible apps I have used. Crashes almost always especially on payment page. Chat with Support is almost impossible to use. Even support people complain about it's slowness. At least one order a week is delayed due to "technical reasons". However customer service is good and the grocery is top notch. That's why I still use BB. Note: The app has improved a lot since I last posted a review. It does not crash, search is much better. And more predictable deliveries
I don't know when this update happened, but for the last few orders the payment price isnt the end price.. They're charging extra during package in the name of modified quantity (mainly for fruits & veggies), just a couple hours before delivery, without any active intimation to us about the extra charges automated to your wallet, except for an easily missed mail. No one asks you whether you want the extra quantity you're charged for or if you would prefer to get only the quantity you paid for.
Worst delivery app. I placed an order which according to my location was perfectly deliverable as shown in the app. They called later saying that, they can't deliver to my location. As I wanted a justification for the inconvenience caused (why order was placed when it can't be deliverable), they cancelled my order by themselves and told me that it will be delivered with 2 days
The app has major flaws when WiFi is used. It works perfectly with mobile data but when i turn on my WiFi which is in excess of 150 Mbps, firstly the app says no internet connection, then in the search box you type anything it says Something Went Wrong, Please Try Later. Just cannot use the app on WiFi.
Honest review. I've been using big basket for a while now and most of the time the service delivery and ease is on point. However, one thing that is really frustrating is when they cancel an order at the very last minute due to "operational constraints" or no stock of the items listed. It's a major inconvenience caused. Fix that and it's definitely 5 stars
