Age of Apes Review
This game is really fun, until it's not. The devs are really good at aggressive psychological marketing to get the player to spend money early, and when that doesn't work (after about a month of not spending) you'll hit a wall down the road, where the mini games that help the free players compete become impossible without the paid for bonus, and the paid for bonuses become disproportionately powerful in both the city building and pvp aspects as well. You'll have a lot of fun up until then.
Only downloaded to get Offerwall rewards for another game, which I can't get because the time limits are too strict and the game requires insane amounts of resources and time to finish anything, let alone within a small time frame and only 1 free builder. Unless you're playing round the clock and spending real money on endless micro transactions, you won't get far. Games are supposed to be fun, not feel like a chore. It's sad, because I initially liked this game.
I played this game for a while but got over it real quick. When the game started needing 2 days to upgrade buildings in the city, I was over it. I didn't want to see how much worse it would get, and I was not paying to complete the upgrades faster to win. You are only able to upgrade 1 building at a time unless you pay to be able to upgrade 2 at a time (it's not permanent & you have to keep paying for this). Even some of the mini games seen in the ads started requiring upgrade of your city.
