Annelids: Online battle Review
I've been into action games recently and this is exactly what I was looking for. You have to compete against other worms that are trying to kill you in a selection of game modes by trying to kill them in order to compete your objective. You have a lot of weapons to choose from with each weapon specializing in something that another doesn't.
Fun for a minute, but the controls are just unworkable. The joystick should be dynamic (appears wherever you click) and jump should be it's own button. Can't aim without moving, while the AI has a constant bead on me flying through the air. The game itself is so chaotic that you end up needing to just spam an AOE and hope for the win. King of the hill resetting the timer is pretty lame. Overall, it'd be fun with some reworks, and even a game speed option to slow it down.
I'd like to preface this review by saying I've never tried playing online, but there IS an active player base online. Overall, a fun game with interesting weapons and gameplay. Controls take some getting used to, but once you get good at using the grapple it's (mostly) okay. If you're a fan of worms you MIGHT like this; it has a lot of similar characteristics, like wacky and (mostly) varied weapons, destructible terrain, etc.
