1943 Deadly Desert Tier List
I had the same experience as some other reviews on this page. The game will occasionally not let you advance past the enemy turn film and kick you out of the entire app. Even if you go back in and try again, that level is unplayable. This is really upsetting because you invest your time, gold, and money (if you chose to buy extra gold) into a level only to then have it thrown all away. It is really sad because this is an amazing game otherwise. Please fix this devs!
The deepest but fundamentally worst game in the series. Has the grindiest, least strategy based combat. Objectives are broad and basic but still confusing somehow. Infantry gets left behind. The new tank classes are cool, but armor is unfun to use because you run out of gas constantly. It's the most open ended game, resulting in constant, unpredictable ambushes. Air combat is expanded, but is as annoying and skilless as ever. Has the least missions. Still a great strategy game though. 3.5/5
It's a great game to pass the time, strategy and all that, however sometimes the game, for whatever reason, crashes in the middle of enemy activity. When I relaunch and try to continue that mission: it crashes in the same spot, this is a big inconvenience if you used some of your gold. This can be fixed by restarting a mission but it may reoccur even after that, which is very annoying, it is an issue I have never encountered in my time playing this game across multiple different devices.
This series works better as a multiplayer game. As a single player game, the monetisation is quite bad. Gold is used not only to recruit units, but also to use tactics. In the mp mode, the amount of gold is chosen at the start. It's a hot-seat mode only tho, with a limited amount of maps. Gameplay-wise, this series is fine. It have some interesting design, like the aircraft and the ship layer. Here, they remove the transport truck, infantry & artillery are equipped with a vehicle mode instead.
I had experienced a few problems in pass play the game suddenly crashed in turn 9. And in the last mission in the last campaign of the Allies the one with the Comet tanks the game's objective had 14/15 defenders and I busted my butt trying to search for the last enemy. The game can't move end due to that being a primary objective. However, the game is still one of the best WW2 strategy game out there. I just hope some of these problems will be fixed for future players. Installing this game is very worth it for people that likes turn based strategy and WW2 games.
