Titan Slayer: Deckbuilding RPG Review
It's got an interesting style and tactical gameplay which I very much enjoy. After a few hours it does turn into a grind fest, as is typical for mobile games of this sort. Also, occasionally ads will not load, and cause a black screen. The app must be restarted when this happens, and it can be very frustrating as sometimes you will lose progress. Overall still pretty fun.
Titan Slayer is a very well designed game. It has great controls, varied characters and enemies, and a timing based strategy engine. You really need to think through the synergies that your team build will have and bring to the battles. If it seems easy and simple when you start, don't expect it to stay that way. I'm currently stuck on the 67th level hard mode, and I've tried several team makeups, and I have yet to find the right combination to move forward. Huge kudos to the design team.
Great graphics and some interesting ideas here. I really like survival mode as competition, definitely the highlight of the game. The problem is balancing seems way off. You can easily go through the first 10 lvls without taking damage, and even if you do you aren't at risk of dying. I had hoped hard mode would fix this, but it barely changes things. Perhaps things improve later on, I'm not willing to grind to find out, but my decisions don't matter when everything dies so easily.
