Let me tell you, I love spider solitaire. I love it so much that I've racked up hundreds of hours on the windows versions (before 10 ruined it). Which is why purchasing this was a huge mistake. Anyway- this version is great for phones! It has all of the features I need, and some neat side options as well (never played spiderette before!) Suggestions/feedback: 1)Option to place hint & undo buttons on main screen (above cards?) 2)More detailed stat breakdown 3)Highest score comparison on victory
The latest update is horrible. The new UI now looks like everyone else. Why? The previous UI was distinctive, clean, and efficient. The new UI wastes screen space with unwanted frills. It has obnoxious card move animation. The response from tech support, these are features. I would get my money back if I could.
Pretty solid app. The UI isn't perfect, but it's hard to adapt this kind of game to a very small screen such as a phone, so I think it's great for what it's tried to accomplish. My specific complaints about the UI are that in horizontal view you can't see all the cards, and in vertical view it's really easy to tap the wrong card, so I have to use undo frequently. But I still love the game and the app never crashes.
Since my friend showed me this game several years ago I have been hooked. It is my 'go to' for moments of calming blood pressure while maintaining an active mind. After playing the free version for all this time, buying the ad-free version seemed apropos! It is a small price to pay for such an engaging pastime. Now I can still receive phone calls because airplane mode is not necessary to keep the ads from popping up. Glad for the upgrade experience! 👍
I bought the paid version of this and have enjoyed it for many years...but I just got an ad? Have the developers changed the paid game to now include ads, despite me paying for no ads, or is an error? Edit 09/08/2023: Only happened twice and then stopped. Glad it was just a tech issue!
