The game play is okay. I didn't have any of the problems with the controls that others reported and the graphics/sound is good. The main problems with this game are as follows: There is nothing to indicate where the edge of the map is. So you will fly to the edge and something like autopilot will turn you around but you still have no idea of where the edge is. To many micro transactions. To many empty battles (no other players) Ads after ever battle so you can't jump back into the action.
This game has it all. It has the graphics, the sound, a decent flight physics model (at least as far as I can tell) and the ability to upgrade your craft. The only complaint I might have is that the spacecraft doesn't fully roll. Is this over simplified? Because, it seems that you could do okay by rolling and pulling harder into a turn. Maybe this is better. Maybe I would get confused, too. I don't know. Everything else in the game is first rate. Five stars all the way!
I truly love this game. It runs very smooth, great controls, and cool ship designs. It does seem very very challanging to naturally obtain currency for upgrades, but it's still very fun, and competitive, and you can still climb the ranks if you have the skill, (at least in my brackets so far). Sure, there are people who buy their way to the top (in any game), but that just makes it more fun, and a never ending challange for the true pilots who enjoy a fight. Definately worth the download.
