Ronin: The Last Samurai Review
There are a dime a dozen games that follow the grind and level up model but this is definitely one of the best to do it. For starters the graphics are captivating and combined with the music and sfx makes you feel like you're in the time period. The controls are basic and not hard to master. I like how it puts the player in a position to judge how and when to attack. Overall, it's a great game that I can see myself getting lost in.
the game offers a whole bunch of options to choose from. But out of all the amazing things that this game offers, there is one thing that is very triggering. You have a couple options to choose from when upgrading weapons, including: "forging", "awakening" and "fusion". When using "fusion", you select five random weapons of the same level and "fuse" then to make a higher level weapon. Sometimes it doesn't work and you waste materials for nothing. This seems like a unnecessary for the game.
Overall, it's very entertaining. It doesn't completely overrun your screen with ads every 10 seconds. The only gripe I had was with the parry system. Sometimes, it'll function as you would expect, but sometimes it's like total luck on whether it will parry right. Although it also could be a skill thing, to me, it's like 40% skill and 60% luck when it comes to this parry system. Besides that, the combat is very satisfying and very gratifying when you finally beat a boss.
