Radio Commander Review
Way more than I bargained for. A fun and compelling RTS experience with a moving, uncensored story capturing multiple perspectives of American soldiers in the Vietnam war. Most gripping is the struggle of having to update your map manually; you have to keep track of your units and the enemy yourself, lest you airstrike your own soldiers. Not being able to see your units as you command them is a unique and exciting challenge for veteran RTS players. Definitely worth the space in your library.
Love the idea. But would like a mission editor and to be able to play with friends. Also be nice to be able to set units more realistically. As axkmapng commander say I'd normally have at least 3 rifle platoons a weapons platoon and some kind of supporting assets. In the game you have to pick and choose things but it doesn't really feel like i am in the role I'm supposed to be representing.
This like firefight is a wargaming gem take the place of a commander and command the life death success and failure of men and battles main complaint is that the orders can be vague would love the ability to give soldiers different weapons very realistic and a in depth tactical game where every decision can lead to failure or glory what are you waiting for buy the game and send men to their death talking to some tropical magic talking Vietnamese trees from the comfort of your tent
