Pixel Mage Quest RPG Review
Quite a respectable game to say its a solo project. The core concepts are all there but some things are off. Despite the objective being said, everything still feels fairly vague (id assume maybe its to keep it mysterious). Also it feel only slightly clunky at times. On the up side however, I like its retro feel and the side quest are pretty fun. My feedback is maybe add a tad bit more into the storytelling. Happy to see such a concept and I'm looking forward to updates in the future.
I just started but I am enjoying the game. It has interesting mechanics and I like the card combat. Moving around the map can be wonky sometimes like getting stuck on corners of trees and the graphics aren't beautiful. I don't think it hinders the game and I would recommend this to anyone who like questing, crafting and fighting. Also thank you for the teleport option that's a really nice feature.
Just 1 hour in to the game and it feels off. Killing rats to grind gold for sickle then gather herb (no explanation how, btw). Just kept failing until I notice the green appear like for 1 frame? For real? Sorry but it's just ridiculous for me, the spinning wheel, select card on 3, hit-timing mechanic with another spin the wheel that can make your success into fail. Come one, we all knew it's based on RNG, you just made it visualize with extra steps and unnecessary waste of time.
