Neo Monsters Review
I have only played a few islands so far and the game isn't bad. It has a great art style and each monster does feel unique and their own. The story so far is a bit boring for me as it's kind of a twist but same plot as Pokémon, family member is a big shot monster trainer in his time and ect ect. Moving around the map can get frustrating but once you get use to it you seem to not notice it as much and it isn't really a problem. Unless your looking for extras and free stuff it's virtually ad free.
I recently began playing this game. I can appreciate the story and the gameplay mechanics but I do have a few issues with it. I was surprised to learn that you had to use -paid- gems instead of gems that you earn in game to hatch certain eggs. Also, every time I start the game I immediately get ads for in-game items. The starting menu is way too chaotic with all the buttons, advertisements, notification symbols, and options you can choose. Overall, it's fun but it can be annoying.
It's still an fun game that has a lot of mechanics I wish other mobile games would copy. It's generous with the ingame currency so that you can easily play without needing to spend money. two major complaints. the best tier of monster have a very low drop rate, which wouldn't be too much of an issue except that you have to get four of the same incredibly rare monster in order to achieve its final form. They've gone more into "sexy" monster girls which makes me unwilling to recommend the game.
