MeChat Review
It's a pretty pricey hobby for what you get. I am, however, enjoying it and all its cringe. (For real, be prepared for a lot of cringe.) My main gripes that keep it from 5 stars for me (for now): lack of character customization (a few more face/hair options would work wonders, paid nor not) and the lack of proofreading in the stories. A few errors here and there are fine, but I've read several narration bubbles in a row with atrocious typos and sometimes just make no sense. Please work on that.
Fun premise, but I find it lacking in several areas. 1st, the updates to the story suck. So far, the only way you get the story update is if you restart the story over again. Which leads me to- 2nd, if you restart a story, all the diamonds previously spent in the story, you have to respend, which means if you've sunk actual $ into this app, it's wasted. Utter bs, tbh. 3rd, no character goes past lvl 25, no matter the length of the story.
I'm keeping my rating the same but want to say that I've been playing for almost 2 years and I love how they continue to update the app and take the user ideas and suggestions into mind likenthe search feature which I suggested awhile ago. I would say one of the issues that continues to happen is the grammatical errors that can make a good story cringy. I hope in the future that there is more proofreading before a updated or new match comes our. Overall I still enjoy playing and will continue.
