Hero Squad! Tier List
Each round is about 10 to 20 seconds. Each ad after the round is 30 seconds. Then there are ads every other time you click on things in the main menu (they just pop up) then there are ads to actually get a reward because if you don't want the x3 ad for your reward then you have to grind the same round several times to not fall behind. Honestly this is just an app of ads with the occasional game. It's a fun game but it's entirely unplayable with the amount of ads.
The gameplay is good but the ads make the game unplayable. I can handle an ad every once in a while but an ad after every room is just way too much. Especially since rooms only take a couple of minutes to complete. I had to uninstall after the 7th room because I just couldn't take it anymore. Furthermore, the push for micro-transactions around every corner of the app is disgusting. This game might have actually been pretty good if it weren't for those two major downfalls.
The game doesn't understand that when I turn the volume off from its menu that means I want the volume off. Forced ads every other level, sometimes even after you choose to watch an ad for a power-up. Controls leave a lot to be desired; there's a delay from when you move the cursor and when the characters start to move. The game is designed in such a way that you need the power-ups from ads to progress; to test it out I was absolutely crushed on level 2 without any power-ups.
Had high hopes, looked fun and something to do offline, but from the start you can tell I is very poorly made, I think the concept is great but it was executed poorly. Most bullets won't register and sometimes controls are inresponsive. If it was to be fixed I would definitely come back to it but there are some major issues.
It's really a very fun game, but after playing several levels it stalls on room 11 and the team won't get on the helicopter. I've reinstalled it a couple of times but it always glitches out there. So, it was fun, but now it is unplayable. I can uninstal and play up to room 11, but then it happens again. So, time to move on. Good luck. Fun game, but broken.
