CoffeeBean SG Rewards Coupon Reviews
The launch of the CoffeeBean SG Rewards app has been a convoluted experience for many loyal customers, myself included. Initially, I was prompted to download the app because I had a substantial balance on my existing CoffeeBean card. However, to my dismay, the app required a passcode to link my card—a passcode I never set, as I purchased the card in-store years ago. The app did not provide an option to reset this elusive passcode, leaving me feeling frustrated and confused. Ironically, rather than providing a simple solution, the FAQs suggested that customers could still top up their cards in stores—a detail that contradicted the app’s insistence on exclusive app-based transactions. It felt as though the app was designed without considering long-term cardholders, making my experience all the more disheartening.
Moreover, while I can appreciate the convenience of a digital payment platform, the app’s design has its significant drawbacks. For instance, diners are faced with the inconvenience of needing to constantly recharge their e-wallets or e-cards. A more user-friendly solution would involve integrating payment methods like credit and debit cards directly into the app for seamless transactions. The absence of such options makes for an inconvenient user experience, especially during peak hours when you just want to pay for your refreshing drinks without the hassle of topping up an online balance. Furthermore, it would be a substantial improvement to introduce features similar to those offered by competitors like Starbucks and McDonald's, allowing users to place orders directly from their tables, thereby streamlining the entire coffee shop experience.
Unfortunately, my overall experience worsened when I attempted to sign up for the new app. I encountered persistent error messages, such as “mobile number already registered with CoffeeBean SG rewards,” even though I was attempting to sign up for the first time. After some investigation, I realized that my mobile number had previously been associated with my old CoffeeBean card, leading to confusion in the migration to the new system. In addition, when trying to reset my password, I was met with another frustrating error: “error sending reset password link.” This was compounded by the fact that I had been informed my physical card, which held around S$1,600, was no longer valid after the transition to the app without any warning or transition period. To add insult to injury, upon reaching out for assistance, I learned that transfers from my old card to the app account were capped at S$1,000 due to system limitations, underscoring the disorganization of the upgrade. As a long-time customer, it is disappointing to see such a lack of cohesion between legacy and digital systems, impacting both loyalty and customer satisfaction.
