Bonza Word Puzzle Review
It's an interesting twist on crossword puzzles, and it's a nice low-pressure game. Despite the complaints about the update, I haven't been getting ads between *every* puzzle, just every couple puzzles, and that doesn't bother me too much since I only do a few in one sitting anyway. For people who really hate the ads, you can remove them permanently for $6, so you're not stuck with them. I'd like to see more with the make your own puzzle, though. You never see it again after you make one.
I rated 5 stars and loved this game before the monetary updates. There were no ads at all previously. I have no issue paying to remove ads, however the hint cost is ridiculous. 60 coins for the first piece (previously 15) but you only earn 10 coins per puzzle completed...that doesn't seem like a reasonable increase especially considering the cost to unlock packs. I still love the puzzles, I just wish these costs would have been thought through a bit more.
I really enjoy this puzzle style and the game has nice graphics, but it should really only be considered a free trial of a game since only two puzzle packs are actually free (plus a daily puzzle). I'm not opposed to anyone making money off their idea, but this is genuinely a paid game hiding behind an hour or two of free content. Very irritating.
