Alto’s Odyssey Tier List
I loved this game. Up until this most recent update which introduced ads. Whhhhhy 😫 used to be you messed up once you get 1 free tap to continue. Now if you mess up once you have to watch an ad or start over, would have been fine if it was just that but now after so many attempts you're forced to watch an ad and I saw no options to even pay for "no ads".
Really cool graphics, art design and sound design. It's almost a perfect mobile game but they actually simplified it too much. More control over the player is needed. It's just kinda boring. Idno if there's cloud save (im at the beginning). There are achievements but I don't feel like playing to get them
Having played this for a few years now, it is a crazy fun game...when it works. Unfortunately, it seems to be ridiculously demanding for a 2D game as performance is all over the place. Pixel 6, nice steady frame rate. Oldi Pad Pro, better frame rate? Even older iPad Mini, best frame rate? And now on my shiny new Pixel 8 Pro, it stutters quite a bit. To the point where it's extremely distracting. I love the gameplay, I'd love to make that a highlight of the review, but until they fix it, I can't.
