Alto’s Adventure Review
I have played this game for years. It is an incredible experience. I have gotten to where I have unlocked every character and upgraded every item. I haven't downloaded it in a while. I picked it back up to discover the ads. This game was ad free for years and was a beautiful zen experience. The ads ruin it. I know ads make money, and the creators deserve revenue, but this game was untouched for a long time and felt like a welcome break from commercialism. The experience died with the ads.
The best "dashing" game out there. The atmosphere, music, sound design, and gameplay all culminate into a calming yet engaging experience that's perfect for a quick distraction, and a mobile game in general. The stuff shown here makes me wish a full-on game was made in this vein. The quest system is clearly only there to keep the game's shelf-life up, but you could enjoy the game well while ignoring any kind of "progression". The only reason I wouldn't get this is because a second one exists.
I love both this game as well as Alto's Odyssey. The entire feel of these games are very relaxing and the simplicity of the gameplay plays very well the soothing music, not to mention the minimalist but beautiful graphics. My only complaint about this game would be the ads, they really remove you from the experience. I know you can pay to get rid of them but I'm super cheap so I guess that's partly my fault.
