Achikaps Demo Review
I loved the novelty at first but have gotten frustrated with how unintuitive the levels become. The different unit tasks (production, carry, etc.) could be explained much better with examples. Then, I got stuck on Level 24 (units just wouldn't carry ammo to the darn turrets!), *and* there's no official walkthrough, so I had no choice but to uninstall. The "economy" aspects are also underdeveloped and can leave you guessing as to why the unemployment rate is so high.
I was enjoying the game at first, but out of nowhere in sandbox mode the AI stopped working properly. I was trying to get them to take the yellow triangles to a house, but when I tried to get them to carry the triangles there they just stood in place and did nothing. This next thing isn't a bug, but you can assign their jobs but not what to do during their job. For example, if you want a producer to produce at a farm but there's a mine nearby, they might happen to go to the mine instead.
I have discovered 2 oddities that I'd like to bring to the dev's attention. 1. In queue, when you have a module that doesn't have the items needed to be built, (usually advanced parts, like gum,) it pauses all other modules in queue, even if they are simple like a farm. 2. When you place two modules too close each other, it pushes one into red which causes it to disappear. Perhaps it shouldn't disappear but should allow the player to move it for longer than a few seconds. Thank you. Great game.
